The Moose points out that accountability is in the eye of the beholder.

In the next news cycle, the right will be in full-throated schadenfreude over the CBS report on memogate. Now that CBS has fired four employees for this mess, the right will still want more pounds of flesh from the network.

Here's the Moose's question - why hasn't the Bush Administration demonstrated one iota of the accountability on Iraq that was shown by CBS on memogate? Every day it becomes clearer that Iraq has become a disaster on the watch of Rumsfeld and the Bushies. Who has been fired? Who has been disciplined?

Needless to say, no lives were lost in Memogate. But the irony will doubtless be lost on the Rather-bashers.

The Moose reports, you decide.
