The Moose isn't getting his antlers all ruffled over the Card resignation.
Today, all of Washington will be abuzz about the departure of Andy Card as the President's Chief of Staff. It means very little. Josh Bolten replacing Andy Card is the company man equivalent of substituting Nicky with Paris Hilton.
If the President is really serious about shaking up his Administration he will give the boot to the Secretary of Defense. Everything else is relatively insignificant.
Much of the commentary today about the shuffle will be about the similarities between Card and Bolten. The distinguishing feature about both of them is their loyalty to the President. Loyalty, indeed, is a worthy virtue. But, this is a moment for creativity and boldness.
And Bolten for Card isn't exactly bold. --
